Philadelphia Union homegrown Andrew Rick will join the United States Men’s National Team as a training goalkeeper for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, according to a May 30 announcement. Rick is set to work with head coach Mauricio Pochettino’s squad during the tournament.
Rick will train alongside four other Philadelphia Union homegrowns and Academy alumni: Matt Freese, Mark McKenzie, Auston Trusty, and Brenden Aaronson. All four are part of the roster representing the United States at this year’s World Cup.
The 20-year-old goalkeeper has previously participated in USMNT U-19 and U-20 camps during his youth career. In his professional career with Philadelphia Union, Rick has made 21 appearances for the first team, including four starts during the club’s Concacaf Champions Cup run this season.
