Boh Ritchie was named Big Ten Freshman of the Week for the second time this season, according to an April 29 announcement from Penn State. This is her first time receiving the honor during the outdoor campaign.

The recognition comes after Ritchie’s performance at the Penn Relays, where she ran the third leg in the women’s 4×800-meter relay. Her split of 2:02.41 gave Penn State’s team a lead going into the final leg, and they ultimately won with a program-record time of 8:18.43.

Ritchie has already earned accolades in her freshman year with Penn State’s track and field team, known as the Nittany Lions. The team’s recent success highlights their competitive standing within collegiate athletics.

Looking ahead, Ritchie and her teammates will finish their regular season at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, New Jersey on Friday and Saturday.
