Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, recently addressed economic and political issues on his official Twitter account.

On April 17, 2026, Boyle commented on the state of the economy and criticized the previous presidential administration: “I can’t speak for what’s ‘in people’s heart of hearts,’ but we do know that there’s less money in their wallets. Everyone knows the Trump administration has only made costs worse.”

Later that day, he reminded local students about an upcoming deadline: “Reminder: the deadline to enter a submission for the 2026 Congressional Art Competition is almost here! Interested high school students in Pennsylvania’s 2nd District should review the requirements and submit their artwork by Tuesday, April 21st.”

On April 19, Boyle criticized former President Trump and Republican leaders regarding health care policy: “Even when everyone agrees — left, right, and non-partisan groups — Trump and his Republican enablers still deny the truth. Trump is responsible for millions of Americans who are losing their health care, and the American people see through their lies.”

Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015 after succeeding Allyson Schwartz. Before serving in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977, Boyle is currently 46 years old and resides in Philadelphia. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1999.
