Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, shared several statements on social media addressing health care policy and local federal funding initiatives.

On November 14, 2025, Boyle commented on the current administration’s stance toward the Affordable Care Act, writing: “If there is one consistent thing this president has said for a decade now, it is that he wants to kill Obamacare. We shouldn’t be surprised that he is kicking millions of Americans off their health insurance — and raising costs for tens of millions more.”

Later that day, Boyle criticized Republican lawmakers regarding health care funding and tax policies. He stated: “I have a hard time believing the Republican politicians who made the largest health care cuts in American history — just to fund tax breaks for billionaires — will do anything to help working families. With or without them, I won’t stop fighting to keep your costs from going up.” (November 14, 2025).

In a separate post later that evening, Boyle highlighted his efforts to secure federal funding for Philadelphia’s Historic District. He announced: “Philadelphia is the nation’s birthplace and Independence Mall is a symbol of pride. Today, I announced $850,000 I secured in new federal funding to improve the area around Independence Mall. In the last few years, I’ve secured nearly $4 million for Philly’s Historic District.” (November 14, 2025).

Boyle has served in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015 and previously represented constituents in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
