Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, addressed recent economic and international developments in a series of posts on his official social media account.

On September 5, 2025, Boyle commented on the latest employment statistics, stating: “Today’s abysmal job numbers are just another consequence of Trump’s economic sabotage. But instead of taking responsibility — Trump lashes out. He has nobody to blame but himself.”

Two days later, on September 7, 2025, Boyle expressed support for NATO following his appointment as lead Democrat for the U.S. Delegation to the NATO Parliament. He wrote: “NATO is the most successful security alliance in human history. I will do everything in my power to ensure we rise to and overcome the present challenges facing this great alliance. Boyle’s remarks come amid ongoing debates over economic policy and national security alliances in the United States. Having served in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015 and previously serving in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015, Boyle has established himself as an active participant in legislative discussions concerning both domestic and foreign affairs.

Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame (1999).
