Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has recently addressed constituents through a series of posts on social media regarding federal funding and local office accessibility.

On August 15, 2025, Boyle posted about efforts to secure federal funding for Philadelphia: “I personally lobbied then Transportation Secretary Buttigieg to get this $160 million grant for Philadelphia. Trump has stolen this historic opportunity from our city in order to fund tax breaks for billionaires. I won’t stop fighting to restore this funding for Philadelphia.”

Three days later, on August 18, Boyle informed residents about upcoming office hours at his Bustleton location: “My Bustleton office will be holding evening office hours tomorrow from 4:30pm to 7pm (by appointment only). If you can’t make it during regular hours for help with a federal issue, this is a great chance to ask questions, share concerns, or just check in — we’re here to help!” He followed up the same day with additional instructions: “This is by appointment only — so please be sure to schedule in advance if you’d like to come in on August 19th. To book your appointment, contact my Bustleton office at 215-335-3355. We look forward to seeing you!”

Boyle was born in Philadelphia in 1977 and continues to reside there. He succeeded Allyson Schwartz as representative of Pennsylvania’s 2nd district and previously served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 until his election to Congress in 2015. Boyle holds a BA from the University of Notre Dame.
