Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, used his social media platform on December 11, 2025, to comment on issues ranging from holiday affordability and health care to labor rights.

On December 11, 2025, Boyle criticized recent remarks by the president regarding holiday spending. He stated, “The president was in Pennsylvania the other night raving about how we should be getting our kids less for Christmas. He’s completely out of touch. It’s not a radical opinion that Americans should be able to afford their necessities and afford gifts for their loved ones.”

Later that day, Boyle addressed Republican health care policy in another post: “Republicans have promised a health care plan for the last 15 years — the only thing they’ve actually done is raise costs and kick people off their coverage.”

In a third tweet on December 11, Boyle reflected on his personal background and support for labor rights: “As someone who grew up in a union home, labor rights are deeply personal to me. I proudly voted for the Protect America’s Workforce Act, which overturns Trump’s attacks on labor protections for nearly 1 million hardworking public servants.”

Boyle has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since 2015 after replacing Allyson Schwartz. Before joining Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there at age 46, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1999.
