Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has used his social media platform to comment on recent political and economic developments as well as provide information to his constituents.

On July 16, 2025, Boyle criticized former President Donald Trump’s potential actions regarding the Federal Reserve Chair. He wrote, “Illegally firing the Fed Chair would be an unprecedented power grab—and it would throw our economy into even deeper chaos. The last thing Americans need is more economic sabotage from Donald Trump. We can’t afford his disastrous policies.”

Later that day, Boyle addressed Senator J.D. Vance’s support for what he called “Trump’s Big Ugly Law.” He stated in a tweet dated July 16, 2025: “Vance is going on tour to openly brag about being the tie-breaking vote for Trump’s Big Ugly Law. Don’t believe his lies — it robs working Americans to enrich his billionaire friends. Back at home, Trump’s Big Ugly Law takes health care away from 483,000 Pennsylvanians.”

In a post on July 17, 2025, Boyle provided information about constituent services: “This is by appointment only — so please be sure to schedule in advance if you’d like to come in on July 22nd. To book your appointment, contact my Girard office at (215) 982-1156. We look forward to seeing you!”

Boyle has served in Congress since succeeding Allyson Schwartz in 2015 and previously represented parts of Philadelphia in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1999.
