Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, has posted a series of tweets addressing recent political controversies and actions related to national history and taxation.

On January 23, 2026, Boyle shared a letter directed to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and National Park Service Acting Director Jessica Bowron. He wrote: “Read our letter to Interior Secretary Doug Burgum and National Park Service Acting Director Jessica Bowron here: https://t.co/NTnU7IgXIq”.

That same day, Boyle commented on the President’s House exhibit in Philadelphia, criticizing actions taken during the Trump administration. He stated: “Taking pride in our country requires knowing and learning from *all* of our history.

The Trump administration’s act of vandalism toward the President’s House exhibit here in Philadelphia is unacceptable and un-American.

Later that evening, Boyle criticized Congressional Republicans’ response to former President Trump’s policies regarding taxation. He posted: “Republicans in Congress are so afraid to stand up to Trump they are making up new articles of the Constitution.

The president doesn’t have the power to create new taxes out of thin air.

Trump’s chaos is costing working Americans, and it’s long past time we put a stop to it. https://t.co/jLow5qaHD3” (January 23, 2026).

Brendan Boyle has served as U.S. Representative for Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977, Boyle continues to reside there and is an alumnus of the University of Notre Dame.
