Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, has recently used his social media platform to address food insecurity and criticize former President Donald Trump’s economic policies.

On September 12, 2025, Boyle posted on X: “No one should go hungry. But far too many families in America still do. This Hunger Action Month, I’m fighting Trump’s reckless cuts to food assistance and working to bring home the resources needed to end hunger in Philly and beyond.”

In a subsequent post on the same day, he highlighted his efforts to support local food distribution: “That’s why I delivered $1 million to Caring for Friends, which will help them deliver up to 200,000 pounds of food each week to our neighbors.”

The following day, Boyle addressed broader economic concerns in another post: “Americans desperately need lower prices, but the only thing Donald Trump has delivered is tax breaks for his billionaire friends.”

Boyle has served as a member of Congress since 2015 after succeeding Allyson Schwartz. He previously represented constituents in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 until his election to Congress. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a BA in 1999.
