Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, posted a series of tweets on August 7, 2025, highlighting the upcoming launch of new high-speed Acela trains and reaffirming his commitment to veterans’ care.

In a tweet at 14:07 UTC on August 7, Boyle wrote: “New high-speed Acela trains are great news for Philadelphia.

When they launch later this month, they’ll bring new jobs and more visitors to our city’s businesses.

I’ve championed historic investments in Amtrak that are delivering for Philly — and I’ll keep fighting for more.”

Later that day at 21:17 UTC, Boyle addressed support for military veterans with another message: “Our veterans risked everything to protect America.

We owe them a sacred debt — and unlike some in Washington, I will always uphold that promise.

I’ll fight to ensure every veteran gets the care they’ve earned and can live with dignity.”

Brendan Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District since 2015 after serving in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. He was born in Philadelphia in 1977 and continues to reside there. Boyle graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1999.
