Delaware Valley University announced on April 14 that it will hold its 76th Annual A-Day, a three-day agricultural fair, from April 24 to April 26 on the university’s main campus. The event is open to the public and invites community members of all ages to participate in activities centered around agriculture, education, and hands-on learning.
A-Day is an opportunity for visitors to engage with agriculture through interactive exhibits, live demonstrations, and family-friendly experiences. Attendees can watch livestock shows, view educational displays, and take part in animal-related activities designed to highlight the significance of agriculture in daily life.
The event will feature returning vendors who offer handcrafted goods, local foods, and specialty products. One popular attraction is the milkshake stand operated by the Pennsylvania Dairymen’s Association. The stand serves farm-fresh milkshakes that are well-known across Pennsylvania and support awareness of the state’s dairy industry.
This year’s A-Day introduces a new America 250 exhibit presented by DelVal’s History Department. The exhibit aims to help attendees explore agricultural milestones as part of preparations for the United States’ upcoming 250th anniversary. Traditional demonstrations such as blacksmithing and tree climbing will also return alongside other interactive presentations showcasing both historic and modern farming skills.
For more than seventy-five years, A-Day has relied on support from local businesses and community members. Sponsorship opportunities remain available for those interested in supporting this student-run tradition or promoting agricultural education at Delaware Valley University.
