The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a detour for the Route T-510 (Marra Road) bridge rehabilitation project in Dean Township, Cambria County. The detour will begin on Monday, June 23, 2025, and is scheduled to last until Friday, July 4, 2024. It will cover a distance of 4.1 miles and utilize T-510 (Marra Road), T-512 (Kolak Road), Route 1014 (Dysart Drive/Black Snake Road), and Route 53 (Clearfield Valley Boulevard).

Cottle’s Asphalt Maintenance, Inc., based in Everett, Pa., is the contractor for this $788,754.28 project that includes work at three locations. The entire project is expected to be completed by October 2025.

To assist motorists during the detour period, roadway signs will be installed to indicate the start and end points as well as the route of the detour. Flaggers will also be present where necessary.

PennDOT advises drivers to exercise caution in all work zones by driving slowly, eliminating distractions, and paying attention to advanced signage directions. Additionally, PennDOT reminds drivers that “Paul Miller’s Law,” effective from June 5, 2025, prohibits the use of hand-held devices while driving. Violations can result in summary citations issued by any Pennsylvania law enforcement officer.

“We strongly urge motorists to make safe choices,” said PennDOT officials. “Put phones out of reach and don’t text and drive.”
