The Philadelphia Eagles announced on May 27 the signing of rookie wide receiver Brandon Hayes. Hayes, who stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 205 pounds, joined the team after participating in Rookie Camp on a tryout basis following his undrafted status in the 2026 NFL Draft.

Hayes played college football at Southeastern Louisiana, where he was named first-team All-Southland Conference as a kick returner for two consecutive seasons. The Hattiesburg, Mississippi native was one of only five Football Championship Subdivision players to return multiple kickoffs for touchdowns during the past season, achieving this feat in back-to-back games. His kickoff return average of 30.7 yards ranked third among all FCS players.

In addition to his special teams contributions, Hayes recorded 227 receiving yards, 107 rushing yards, and two receiving touchdowns during the 2025 season. In the previous year, he averaged 26.7 yards per kickoff return and scored four total touchdowns—including one on a kickoff return—in 2024.

A Southland Conference All-Academic Team selection, Hayes completed his MBA at Southeastern Louisiana in the fall.

The Eagles operate as a professional American football team based in Philadelphia and have competed in the National Football League since entering it in 1933. The organization provides professional football games along with related offerings such as news coverage, media content, ticketing services, and fan engagement activities while extending its reach beyond Philadelphia to fans nationwide through various channels including games and merchandise sales, according to the official website.
