Josue Franco, a 30-year-old inmate at FCI Allenwood, was indicted by a federal grand jury on March 26 for allegedly possessing contraband in prison, according to the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.

The indictment alleges that Franco had methamphetamine, which is classified as a Schedule II controlled substance, on September 10, 2025. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorney Robin Zenzinger and was investigated by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

The charge carries a maximum penalty under federal law of up to 20 years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000. Sentencing will be determined by the judge if there is a finding of guilt and will take into account federal sentencing statutes and guidelines.

Authorities said indictments are only allegations. “All persons charged are presumed to be innocent unless and until found guilty in court,” according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office.
