FCI Allenwood inmate receives additional sentence for weapon possession

Eric Rodriguez, a 32-year-old inmate at FCI Allenwood, has been sentenced to 21 months in prison for possessing contraband. The sentencing was handed down by Chief United States District Judge Matthew W. Brann.

Acting United States Attorney John Gurganus stated that Rodriguez was indicted by a federal grand jury after a razor blade with a handle made from electrical tape was found during a random pat search. Rodriguez pleaded guilty to the charge of possessing contraband in prison before his sentencing.

The investigation was conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, and Assistant U.S. Attorney Robin Zenzinger prosecuted the case.
