FOIA Request to East Stroudsburg University regarding Public University FY 2024 Employee Salaries on December 5, 2025.

Keystone Today, a media organization focused on local governmental affairs, has submitted a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to East Stroudsburg University. The request seeks detailed records of employee compensation for all individuals employed by the university during Fiscal Year 2024. This request is made under the Pennsylvania Right to Know Law, 65 §66.1 et seq., and the information is preferred in electronic format.

The requested records include various data fields such as fiscal year, employee name, gender, age or year of birth (if not exempt), date of birth (if not exempt or limited to month/year), employer name, title or position, department, hire date, compensation amount (including base pay and any additional pay), compensation type (e.g., salary, hourly, stipend, bonus), and employment type (full-time or part-time). Keystone Today acknowledges that not all fields may be present in every record but requests the production of all responsive records regardless.

If any portion of a responsive record is deemed exempt from disclosure, Keystone Today requests that non-exempt portions be released in redacted form rather than withheld entirely. As members of the media involved in news gathering and reporting to the public, they have requested a fee waiver for this information due to their role in promoting transparency and accountability within public institutions.

The requestor is affiliated with The Coalition Opposing Governmental Secrecy—a non-profit organization assisting media companies and advocacy groups in investigating government agencies through FOIA and Sunshine Laws. More information about this coalition can be found at https://stopsecrecy.org/about/.

Our team will continue to keep you updated as we gather and report news related to this request and other matters of public interest. Please feel free to reach out if you have any questions or need further clarification regarding this matter.
