A Philadelphia man has pleaded guilty to a security violation at Philadelphia International Airport. According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, Tiriq Henson, 33, admitted in federal court to one count of entering an airport area in violation of security requirements.

Henson was charged by information in May 2025. Prosecutors said that on March 9, 2024, while working as a wheelchair assistant at the airport, Henson allowed another individual to use his airport-issued Secure Identification Display Area badge. This act enabled Person #1 to access secure and sterile parts of the airport without proper authorization.

Henson will be sentenced on December 16 and could face up to 10 years in prison.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into this incident. Assistant United States Attorney Priya De Souza is prosecuting the case.

United States Attorney David Metcalf stated: “Tiriq Henson, 33, of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, entered a plea of guilty before United States District Judge Gail A. Weilheimer yesterday to one count of entering an airport area in violation of security requirements.”
