The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced a temporary closure of Route 1010, also known as Genesee Mills Road, in Potter County. The road will be closed on Monday, June 16, for a pipe replacement project aimed at preventing water damage to the pavement and extending the road’s service life.

The project involves replacing a 48-inch pipe located approximately three-tenths of a mile east of the intersection with Whitman Road in Harrison Township. During the closure, traffic will be redirected via a detour using Route 49, Route 1012 (Jackson Road), Route 1015 (Collins Hill Road), and Route 1013 (Bingham Center Road) back to Genesee Mills Road.

In case of rain on June 16, the work will be postponed to Tuesday, June 17. PennDOT’s department forces will carry out all necessary work.

Motorists can access real-time road conditions through www.511PA.com. This service is free and available around the clock, offering traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, traffic speed information, and access to over 1,000 traffic cameras. The service is also accessible via a smartphone app for iPhone and Android devices or by calling 5-1-1.
