The number of employees on nonfarm payrolls for October 2021 in the Harrisburg-Carlisle metropolitan statistical area was 343,800, a 1.1 percent increase over the previous month, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics.

In September 2021, the Harrisburg-Carlisle reported 340,100 workers on nonfarm payrolls.

Statistics were compiled from reports from the civilian labor force and unemployment data, which heavily relied on household surveys. The data is not seasonally adjusted.
