Aaron Williams, age 54, of Harrisburg, was sentenced on April 30 to 15 years in prison followed by a ten-year term of supervised release for possessing with intent to distribute more than 500 grams of cocaine. United States District Judge Jennifer P. Wilson handed down the sentence, according to an announcement from the United States Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
The case is significant as it highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to address drug trafficking and enhance community safety. The U.S. Attorney’s Office promotes public safety through initiatives such as Project Safe Neighborhoods and re-entry services aimed at reducing recidivism, according to the official website.
United States Attorney Brian D. Miller said that in May 2023, Williams sold over 80 grams of crack cocaine in Harrisburg. A subsequent search warrant executed at Williams’s residence led law enforcement officers to discover more than 400 grams of powder cocaine, over 300 grams of crack cocaine, and more than $7,000 in cash.
The Drug Enforcement Administration and the Harrisburg Police Bureau investigated this case. Assistant United States Attorney Carlo D. Marchioli prosecuted it.
