Motorists in Montour and Northumberland Counties should be aware that construction continues on Interstate 80. The project affects both eastbound and westbound lanes between Danville and Limestoneville. Work is ongoing on bridges over Narehood Road and Klondike Road.

The bridge carrying Interstate 80 eastbound over Klondike Road is under rehabilitation. Motorists traveling eastbound should stay in the right lane to access Route 54 at Exit 224, Danville. Meanwhile, Klondike Road remains closed between Oak Grove Road and Route 642, with a detour in place via Oak Grove Road, Mauger Road, Stump Road, and Liberty Valley Road.

For westbound traffic on Interstate 80, vehicles are being shifted to a temporary structure as reconstruction begins on the bridge over Narehood Road. Eastbound traffic will continue using the temporary structure during this time. Narehood Road is closed between Stump Road and Liberty Valley Road, with a detour set up through Stump Road, Mauger Road, and Liberty Valley Road.

Drivers can check current road conditions by visiting www.511PA.com or using the 511PA smartphone app. The service provides updates on traffic delays, weather forecasts, speed information, and access to traffic cameras around the clock.
