Motorists in Columbia County should prepare for ongoing road work on Interstate 80 near Buckhorn. The multi-year reconstruction and resurfacing project will continue next week, with work scheduled between 7:00 PM and 6:00 AM.

On Tuesday, June 17, 2025, pavement repairs will occur in the westbound lanes approaching the structure over Millville Road (Route 4009), necessitating an alternating lane closure. The following day, Wednesday, June 18, 2025, similar repairs will take place in the eastbound travel lane just east of the same structure, with restrictions on the right driving lane. On Thursday, June 19, 2025, shoulder work is planned to remove and replace a portion of the westbound right shoulder east of County Line Road. This will also result in restrictions on the right driving lane.

Drivers are advised to remain alert and cautious through the work zone due to potential delays and changes in traffic patterns. New Enterprise Stone and Lime Co., Inc. serves as the prime contractor for this $11.1 million project that includes shoulder reconstruction, roadway resurfacing, structure preservation, signing, and other tasks. Completion is expected by June 2025.
