Lane restrictions on Route 2040, known as Curry Hollow Road, will start on Monday in Pleasant Hills Borough and South Park Township, Allegheny County. According to PennDOT District 11, the restrictions will begin at 6 a.m. and are expected to last until mid-October, weather permitting.
The single-lane restriction will be in place around the clock in both directions between Old Curry Hollow Road and Brownsville Road. The work involves roadway improvements such as subbase work, curb installation, median work, and barrier wall construction.
Keenan Road’s access to Curry Hollow Road will also close intermittently. During these closures, motorists are advised to use Brownsville Road as an alternative route. PennDOT urges drivers to exercise caution while traveling through the area, emphasizing that “work zone safety is everyone’s responsibility.”
