Lawmakers to hold hearing on expanding access to homeownership in Pennsylvania

House Republican Policy Committee Chairman David H. Rowe and Rep. Jeff Olsommer, along with other lawmakers, will host the second hearing in a series titled “Expanding Access to Homeownership” on May 26. The event aims to explore solutions for making homeownership more affordable and attainable for families in Pennsylvania.

Testifiers scheduled to speak include Ed Nikles Jr., president of Ed Nikles Custom Builder Inc.; Tim Morey, owner of TM Morey; Will Clauss, a local real estate agent; and Charles Gardner, senior research fellow at the Mercatus Center at George Mason University.

The hearing is set for Tuesday, May 26, at 1 p.m. at the Blooming Grove Township Municipal Building. According to organizers, the session will be streamed online barring any technical difficulties.

This is the second installment in a series focused on addressing barriers and identifying policy recommendations related to homeownership within the state.
