Mackenzie announces monthly veteran assistance hours in Red Hill and Bethlehem offices

Veterans and their families can access a range of services through Veteran Assistance Hours offered by Rep. Milou Mackenzie, according to a June 2 announcement. The sessions are held on the third Wednesday of each month at her Red Hill office and the fourth Wednesday at her Bethlehem office.

Upcoming opportunities include June 17 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Red Hill Office, located at 56 W. Fourth St., Red Hill, and June 24 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Bethlehem Office, located at 1425 Mountain Dr. N., Bethlehem.

The services provided cover compensation, pension and death benefits, education, healthcare, and other support for veterans and their dependents. Membership in the American Legion is not required to receive assistance during these hours.

To schedule an appointment for Veteran Assistance Hours, individuals are encouraged to contact Mackenzie’s district office by calling 610-965-5830.

Mackenzie is a lifelong Lehigh Valley resident and eighth-generation Pennsylvanian who graduated from Nazareth Area Senior High School and earned a bachelor’s degree in English from Cedar Crest College; she lives with her husband—a U.S. Naval Academy graduate and veteran—in Lower Saucon Township with their two sons and four grandchildren. She also serves on the PennSERVE Community Service Advisory Board while contributing to community efforts, including services for veterans and support for small business owners, according to the official website.
