The No. 20 Penn State Nittany Lions defeated the No. 25 Ohio State Buckeyes, 18-9, at the Ohio State Lacrosse Stadium on April 5 in Columbus, Ohio.

The win was led by Kelly MacKinney, who scored a career-high seven goals and added two assists. Her performance tied for the third-most goals by any Big Ten player this season and matched Delaney Radin for the most points by a Penn State player this year. The last time a Penn State player scored seven goals in a game was Gretchen Gilmore against James Madison in the NCAA Tournament in 2024.

Radin contributed with five assists and two goals, reaching her 40th assist of the season—the first Nittany Lion to do so since Steph Lazo in 2017. This marked Radin’s third game with five or more assists this season. Other notable performances included seniors Erika Ho and Payton Wainman each recording hat tricks, while freshman Rocquette Allen had two goals and set a new career-high with four assists.

Goalkeeper Sydney Manning made twelve saves with a save percentage of over fifty-seven percent, registering double-digit saves for the fifth time this season. On defense, Lilly Spilker collected five ground balls and caused three turnovers—both personal bests for her current campaign.

Penn State established control early, leading after each quarter thanks to contributions from multiple players on both offense and defense. The team will begin a three-game homestand starting Thursday, April 9 against Oregon on the Big Ten Network.
