Morgan Lewis announced on April 15 that partners Rahul Kapoor and Divya Thakur have been included in the India Business Law Journal’s International A-List for 2026, which recognizes top international lawyers focused on India.

The recognition highlights the growing importance of legal expertise for companies operating in or with ties to India. The International A-List showcases lawyers who have demonstrated significant commitment and experience in advising clients with interests connected to the country.

Rahul Kapoor, an intellectual property practitioner, co-leads Morgan Lewis’s India initiative and also leads the firm’s Silicon Valley and San Francisco corporate and business transactions practice. According to the firm, he advises clients on strategic alliances, joint ventures, and corporate partnering transactions within technology and life science industries, particularly those involving India. This marks his eighth appearance on the list.

Divya Thakur also co-leads Morgan Lewis’s India initiative while heading its Singapore investment management practice. She advises clients on investment fund formation, carried-interest plans, co-investment arrangements, business structuring, as well as ongoing operational, management, and compliance issues related to Indian matters. This is her sixth time being named to the list.

Morgan Lewis said its India practice provides a full range of services for clients conducting business both in India and throughout Asia-Pacific. The firm also supports Indian-based companies seeking expansion beyond national borders by drawing upon extensive experience with varied economic environments across the region.
