A Morrisdale, Pennsylvania man has pleaded guilty in federal court to charges related to trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine, according to First Assistant United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Brandon Kifer, 45, entered his plea before United States District Judge Stephanie L. Haines. He admitted guilt to two counts of the indictment against him.
According to information presented during the plea hearing, Kifer conspired to distribute and possessed with intent to distribute at least 40 grams of a substance containing fentanyl and at least 50 grams of methamphetamine between February and March 2023 in the Western District of Pennsylvania.
Judge Haines set sentencing for March 26, 2026. The statutory penalties include a minimum sentence of five years and up to 40 years in prison, as well as a possible fine of up to $5 million. The actual sentence will be determined based on the seriousness of the offenses and Kifer’s prior criminal history under federal Sentencing Guidelines.
Assistant United States Attorney Maureen Sheehan-Balchon is prosecuting the case for the government.
The investigation that led to Kifer’s prosecution was conducted by the Drug Enforcement Administration and Pennsylvania State Police.
