Small business owners convened in Harrisburg for the National Federation of Independent Business’s (NFIB) annual Small Business Day. The gathering allowed entrepreneurs from across Pennsylvania to engage with elected officials on matters affecting their businesses.

Participants had the opportunity to hear from Congressman Scott Perry, Attorney General Dave Sunday, and various state representatives. NFIB Pennsylvania State Director Greg Moreland emphasized the importance of these interactions, stating, “It’s imperative that lawmakers in Harrisburg hear from small business owners directly about how legislation and regulations impact their daily small business operations.” He highlighted ongoing challenges such as rising business costs and hiring difficulties.

The event included a legislative panel discussion moderated by Jan Murphy, featuring state representatives Tim O’Neal, Craig Williams, Kyle Mullins, and Emily Kinkead. Moreland expressed gratitude towards members who attended and the officials who engaged with them: “We are thankful to our members who travelled to Harrisburg and to the elected officials who took time out of their day to talk to the small business community.”
