The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched a series of radio and digital advertisements to express gratitude towards Representatives Rob Bresnahan Jr. (PA-08) and Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07). The ads are part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy efforts to support the permanence of the Small Business Tax Deduction in Congress.
These advertisements will be aired across Pennsylvania’s 8th and 7th Districts, highlighting the representatives’ support for small businesses. According to NFIB, this is part of a broader campaign aimed at ensuring the continuation of the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction.
The ads feature testimonials from NFIB members who explain how the tax deduction has benefited their businesses by enabling growth and investment. The campaign emphasizes potential negative impacts if Congress does not act to make this deduction permanent.
“Over the last seven years, the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction has helped America’s small businesses grow and hire,” said NFIB Pennsylvania State Director Greg Moreland. “Rep. Rob Bresnahan Jr. and Rep. Ryan Mackenzie understand the importance of the Small Business Deduction and have been leading voices in Congress to make it permanent. With Congress currently considering sweeping tax legislation, we are hopeful that lawmakers act quickly and protect America’s small businesses from a massive tax increase.”
Initially passed as part of the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, this deduction allows small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, offering a more level playing field against larger corporations.
