The National Federation of Independent Business (NFIB) has launched new radio and digital advertisements across Pennsylvania’s 7th and 8th Congressional Districts. The campaign thanks Rep. Ryan Mackenzie (PA-07) and Rep. Rob Bresnahan Jr. (PA-08) for their efforts to make the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent.

The advertisements are part of NFIB’s ongoing advocacy to support the Small Business Deduction, which was initially introduced in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. This provision allows small business owners to deduct up to 20% of their qualified business income, aiming to create more equal tax conditions between small businesses and larger corporations.

“Making the 20% Small Business Tax Deduction permanent is a big win for Main Street,” said NFIB Pennsylvania State Director Greg Moreland. “By voting to protect this tax relief, Representatives Ryan Mackenzie and Rob Bresnahan Jr.have given small business owners in Pennsylvania the certainty they need to grow their operations, continue creating jobs, and give back to their communities. NFIB appreciates their leadership in standing up for small businesses in our state.”

The campaign highlights the representatives’ votes as a measure that prevents an increase in taxes for small business owners, providing stability for local enterprises.

The deduction remains an important aspect of federal tax policy for many small firms.
