Lady Lion head coach Tanisha Wright announced on Apr. 17 the addition of Olivier Cadet to the coaching staff as Assistant Coach and Video Coordinator.
Wright said, “We couldn’t be more excited to have Coach O join our staff. His knowledge of the game combined with his ability to develop players and skillfulness with video technology will be a huge asset to the Lady Lion basketball program and I’m eager for us to get to work.”
Cadet brings several years of college basketball experience, including three NCAA Tournament appearances. Most recently, he served as Assistant Coach and Director of Skill Development at the University of Georgia, where he was involved in both on-court leadership and leading video analytics for opponent scouting. During his time at Georgia, Cadet mentored three All-SEC selections—Dani Carnegie, Javyn Nicholson, and Diamond Battles—and coached Trinity Turner and Mia Woolfolk who earned spots on SEC All-Freshman squads.
In the 2025-26 season, Cadet played a key role in guiding Georgia’s team to its 37th NCAA Tournament appearance as a no. 7 seed in the Iowa City Regional.
Cadet also has professional basketball experience through a summer internship as an NBA Player Development intern in New York City in 2023, assisting trainer Chris Brickley with workouts for NBA stars such as Klay Thompson, Jimmy Butler, Donovan Mitchell, and Paolo Banchero. He later supported training sessions at NBPA Sanctuary in Spain during summer 2025.
His background includes serving as head manager for University of Central Florida women’s basketball from 2019-22 while earning his undergraduate degree there. He assisted coaches during UCF’s successful run that included an American Atlantic Conference regular season title and tournament championship in 2021-22.
Cadet has also volunteered for two seasons with the Atlanta Dream from 2022-24—where he met Wright—and worked for Synergy Sports Technology providing on-demand video support for scouting purposes nationwide.
