Owlett hosts summit on entrepreneurship and trades for area students and business owners

Rep. Clint Owlett announced on April 15 that he will host a Future Entrepreneur Summit aimed at students, new business owners, and those interested in careers in the trades. The event is scheduled for Thursday, April 16, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Lambs Creek Events, located at 200 Gateway Drive in Mansfield.

The summit will bring together participants with a panel of experts from various industries to discuss building successful careers or businesses. According to the announcement, panelists include Scott Cummings of Cummings Lumber; Hasan Fazelbhoy of Cedar Mountain Springs; Josh Gehman of Gehman Iron; Rich Harris of Buttonwood Truck Center; Kurtis Martin of Black Creek Enterprises; Trevor Rawleigh of Iron Volt Contracting; Howard Wattles, a retired electrician; and Doug Wright of Wright’s Farm and Home Service Inc.

Owlett said the goal is to provide valuable insights for attendees who are considering starting their own businesses or pursuing opportunities in skilled trades fields.

The event targets both students exploring future career options and current business owners seeking advice from experienced professionals. Attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions directly to industry experts during panel discussions.

The summit reflects ongoing efforts by local leaders to support workforce development and entrepreneurship within the community.
