The University of Pennsylvania men’s tennis team will conclude its spring season with home matches against Brown and Yale, the university announced on Apr. 17.

These matches are important for Penn’s chances of securing a spot in the NCAA Tournament. The Quakers currently have a record of 16-9 overall and are 2-3 in Ivy League play.

Brown enters the weekend at the bottom of the Ivy League standings with an 0-5 conference record, while Yale stands one match ahead of Penn at 3-2 within the league. This makes both contests significant as Penn seeks to improve its postseason prospects.

Penn is ranked No. 40 in the latest Intercollegiate Tennis Association (ITA) team rankings, keeping them under consideration for an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament. In doubles competition, Manfredi Graziani and Aaron Sandler hold a national ranking of No. 32 after improving their undefeated season record to 18-0 with a recent win over Columbia. Another Quaker duo, Vojtech Vales and Shaurya Bharadwaj, are ranked No. 76 in doubles by ITA rankings, while Graziani is also individually ranked No. 69 in singles.

Sunday’s match against Yale will serve as Senior Day for Penn, during which Manfredi Graziani and Matthew Rutter will be recognized for their contributions to the program.
