The Penn State men’s tennis team will play its last home matches of the spring season, hosting Washington on April 10 and No. 59 Oregon and St. Bonaventure on April 12, according to an April 9 announcement.

These final home games mark a significant point in the Nittany Lions’ season as they honor their seniors and look to improve their current record of 14-10. The Senior Day event is presented by the Penn State Alumni Association.

Last weekend, Penn State faced defeats against No. 26 USC and No. 22 UCLA during road matches. Freshman Kyle Chesman secured a singles point for the team by defeating Leo von Bismarck of UCLA with scores of 6-1, 6-4.

Washington enters Friday’s match with an overall record of 8-13 this season and holds a historical advantage over Penn State after winning last year’s matchup, 5-2. Oregon has compiled a record of 13-7 so far this year; the Ducks also have a one-match all-time advantage against the Nittany Lions following their win last season, finishing at 4-0.

St. Bonaventure arrives with a season record of just one win in fifteen matches while Penn State leads the all-time series between these teams at 21-0, including a shutout victory (7-0) in their most recent meeting in 2025.

After concluding its home schedule, Penn State will travel to Nebraska on April 17 and Wisconsin on April 19 for its final regular-season contests.
