Penn State will compete for its 38th Eastern Intercollegiate Volleyball Association (EIVA) Tournament title when it hosts Princeton in the championship match at Rec Hall on Saturday, April 25. The match is set for 7 p.m. and will be streamed live on B1G+.

The Nittany Lions have won more EIVA Tournament titles than any other current or former league member, with George Mason ranking second among active members with four tournament wins. Penn State is also the three-time defending EIVA champion, having defeated Princeton in two of those recent finals.

Saturday’s contest marks the 82nd overall meeting between Penn State and Princeton and their 20th matchup in the EIVA Tournament. Penn State holds a dominant record of 71-10 against the Tigers, including a perfect regular season sweep this year. In tournament play, Penn State leads Princeton 16-3 and has won six out of seven previous championship encounters between the teams.

The Nittany Lions secured home-court advantage as top seed after an undefeated conference run (12-0) during a regular season that finished at 20-7 overall. They advanced to the final by defeating Charleston in five sets Thursday night, led by standout performances from Sean Harvey—who hit .567 with 19 kills—and Tristan Hassell, who contributed 16 kills on .448 hitting.

Princeton enters as sixth seed after sweeping Harvard to clinch its tournament spot before upsetting both George Mason and NJIT en route to the final. The Tigers are currently riding a four-match winning streak and hold a season record of nine wins and fourteen losses.

Looking ahead, both teams await Sunday’s NCAA Selection Show streaming live at NCAA.com.
