The No. 18 Penn State Nittany Lions will face the No. 4 Northwestern Wildcats in a women’s lacrosse game at Panzer Stadium on April 12. The matchup follows Penn State’s recent win over Oregon and is part of a three-game home stretch for the team.
This contest holds significance as both teams are ranked within the top twenty, and Penn State seeks to build momentum in Big Ten play with an overall record of 11-3 and a conference record of 3-2.
In their previous game, standout performances from Kelly MacKinney, Delaney Radin, and Rocquette Allen led Penn State to a decisive victory over Oregon, with the trio contributing significantly to the team’s total points. MacKinney recorded her second consecutive seven-plus point game, while Radin achieved her second career hat trick and moved into second place for single-season assists in program history. Allen tied her career-high with five goals, surpassing fifty points for her freshman season.
Recent weeks have brought individual accolades for several players. MacKinney was named both IWLCA and Big Ten Offensive Player of the Week after helping defeat Ohio State. Sydney Manning earned Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors following strong performances as goalkeeper, including surpassing three hundred career saves against Michigan and recording a career-high fifteen saves against Princeton. Allen received her fifth Big Ten Freshman of the Week award this season.
Radin has been recognized nationally by being added to the Tewaaraton Watch List alongside teammate Erika Ho and has set new personal records across multiple statistical categories this year. She leads the Big Ten in assists while also ranking among national leaders in points scored.
Looking ahead, Penn State aims to continue its successful run during this homestand before concluding with another home contest after facing Northwestern.
