Penn State women’s basketball head coach Tanisha Wright announced on May 2 that junior guard Devyn Quigley will join the Lady Lions through the transfer portal ahead of the 2026-27 season. Quigley is Wright’s second addition from the portal this offseason, arriving after two years at North Carolina State University.

Wright said that adding Quigley marks a significant move for her program. “Adding Devyn to our team is a big step forward for the Lady Lion program,” Wright said. “Devyn is poised to make an immediate impact from day one. To say we’re thrilled would be an understatement.”

During her time at NC State, Quigley contributed to back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances, including a Sweet 16 run in 2025. As a sophomore, she played in 29 games with six starts and averaged 4.3 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 0.7 assists per game. She recorded three double-digit scoring performances and set a career high with 14 points against Wake Forest.

Quigley’s freshman year saw her appear in all 33 games for NC State, averaging over eight minutes per contest and contributing key performances off the bench, including a career-high of 20 points against Coastal Carolina and solid showings during NCAA Tournament play.

Before college, Quigley was ranked as the No. 47 player nationally by HoopGurlz Recruiting Rankings in her signing class and received an ESPN scouts grade of 94 as a four-star recruit. At Manchester Township High School in New Jersey, she broke Shore Conference records with over 2,600 career points and earned multiple Player of the Year honors.
