Penn State women’s basketball head coach Tanisha Wright announced on May 7 the addition of graduate transfer Enjulina Gonzalez to the team’s roster for the 2026-27 season. Gonzalez is the fifth player to join Penn State through the transfer portal during this offseason.

The signing brings further experience and depth to Penn State’s backcourt, as Gonzalez has played at several Division I programs. Wright said, “Being able to sign a player with Enjulina’s skill is an enormous get for Penn State women’s basketball. Angie is an intense competitor, who competes on both ends of the floor. We’re looking forward to welcoming her to Lady Lion Basketball.”

Gonzalez spent her senior year at Georgia, where she appeared in 32 games and made one start during a season that included an NCAA Tournament appearance. She averaged 3.2 points and 1.7 rebounds per game in her junior campaign.

Before transferring to Georgia, Gonzalez played her sophomore season at Miami Ohio, starting in 27 out of 30 games and averaging 16.8 points, 4.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per contest. She recorded nine games with more than twenty points and earned first team All-Mid-American Conference honors during that time.

Gonzalez began her college career at Mercer University but missed most of her second year due to injury after competing in all but one game as a freshman and averaging double figures in scoring with ten points per game.

She graduated from Miami Christian School in Florida where she contributed to two state championships along with regional and district titles while being named a finalist for Ms. Basketball in Florida during her senior year.
