The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has announced the completion of a bridge replacement project on Allentown Road over a branch of Unami Creek in Milford Township, Bucks County. The newly constructed culvert and roadway were reopened to traffic at approximately 1:00 PM today.

Construction began in late January 2025, focusing on replacing the deteriorating structure with a single-span, concrete box culvert. The project also included updates to guiderails, signage, and pavement markings. This bridge is part of a larger $9.5 million initiative to improve seven structures across Bucks and Montgomery counties.

Loftus Construction, Inc., based in King of Prussia, Pa., served as the general contractor for this state-funded project.

Motorists can access real-time road conditions via www.511PA.com, which offers traffic delay warnings, weather forecasts, and traffic speed information around the clock. This service is also accessible through a smartphone app for both iPhone and Android users.

For further details on construction projects affecting state-owned highways in Bucks and surrounding counties, PennDOT encourages visits to their District 6 Traffic Bulletin online or subscribing to regional news alerts.
