The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture has issued a warning to consumers regarding Meadow View Jerseys brand raw milk. The department advises discarding any raw milk purchased since April 1, 2025, with sell-by dates between April 15 and July 8, 2025. Tests confirmed the presence of Campylobacter in the milk after reports of campylobacteriosis symptoms from consumers.

The affected products were sold in glass half-gallon, and plastic half-gallon and gallon containers at the farm’s store in Leola and various retail outlets across southcentral Pennsylvania. Campylobacteriosis can cause symptoms such as diarrhea, fever, and abdominal pain, typically appearing two to five days post-exposure. While rare, the infection can become severe for individuals with weakened immune systems.

The farm has reached out to wholesalers who distributed the milk; however, a list of customers who purchased it is unavailable. Although an updated list of distributors is not provided, Meadow View Jerseys Dairy products were previously available at several locations in Berks, Dauphin, Lancaster, and Lebanon Counties.

Consumers seeking more information about raw milk consumption can refer to resources on the Centers for Disease Control website. The Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture continues its efforts to ensure food safety within the state through its inspection services.
