A Philadelphia resident, Roberto Febus, 35, has been sentenced to 78 months in prison followed by four years of supervised release for his role in a drug conspiracy. The sentencing was handed down by Chief Judge Matthew W. Brann in the Middle District of Pennsylvania.
United States Attorney Brian D. Miller stated that Febus conspired with others to distribute more than 50 grams of methamphetamine in Northumberland County during May 2022.
The Federal Bureau of Investigation led the investigation into the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Alisan V. Martin prosecuted the matter.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, this prosecution is part of Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN), an initiative that coordinates efforts among various law enforcement agencies and communities to reduce violent crime and gun violence. The Department launched a strengthened violent crime reduction strategy for PSN on May 26, 2021, focusing on building community trust, supporting organizations aimed at preventing violence, prioritizing targeted enforcement actions, and evaluating outcomes.
“Project Safe Neighborhoods (PSN) is a program bringing together all levels of law enforcement and the communities they serve to reduce violent crime and gun violence, and to make our neighborhoods safer for everyone. On May 26, 2021, the Department launched a violent crime reduction strategy strengthening PSN based on these core principles: fostering trust and legitimacy in our communities, supporting community-based organizations that help prevent violence from occurring in the first place, setting focused and strategic enforcement priorities, and measuring the results,” according to the statement from officials.
