The Philadelphia Union organization announced on June 2 that it is mourning the loss of Lincoln Hanson, a member of its Fearless 43 group, who passed away following a five-year battle with Acute Myeloid Lymphoma.

Hanson participated in the Fearless 43 classes of 2021 and 2025. His mother said her son was truly a light and that his legacy will continue to shine. Hanson’s family is from Delaware County, and his involvement with the club began in 2021 when he was selected to help announce the Kick Childhood Cancer pre-match adidas top. He and other Fearless 43 members spent time at an indoor trampoline park with Union players, enjoying activities together. The club stated that Hanson has been a special part of the organization since then, and it will honor his memory while continuing to support efforts against pediatric cancer.

Fans who wish to honor Hanson’s memory are encouraged by the club to make donations in his name to Kisses for Kyle.

Philadelphia Union functions as a professional soccer team in Major League Soccer, focused on representing the city in elite competition while fostering fan involvement, youth programs, and community ties, according to the official website.
