A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to more than five years in federal prison after being convicted of fentanyl trafficking and possession of a firearm during a drug crime, according to Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.

Marques Coffey, 21, received a sentence of 63 months in prison, followed by five years of supervised release. The sentence was handed down by Senior United States District Judge David S. Cercone on August 5, 2025.

Court records show that on March 4, 2023, Coffey was found with fentanyl intended for distribution and a Glock firearm modified with an automatic conversion kit. Both items were discovered in a satchel he was wearing at the time.

Assistant United States Attorney Nicole A. Stockey prosecuted the case for the government.

“Acting United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives along with the Bellevue Borough Police Department for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Coffey.”
