A Pittsburgh man has been sentenced to 18 months in federal prison for his involvement in a drug trafficking conspiracy, according to an announcement from Acting United States Attorney Troy Rivetti.
Cayce Williams, 23, of the Allentown neighborhood of Pittsburgh, received the sentence from United States District Judge Marilyn J. Horan after being convicted of conspiring to distribute and possessing with intent to distribute fentanyl and cocaine.
Court records show that between March 2024 and July 2024, Williams acted as a redistributor of street-level quantities of fentanyl and cocaine. Both substances are classified as controlled substances under federal law.
The case was prosecuted by Assistant United States Attorneys Katherine C. Jordan and Kelly M. Locher.
Acting United States Attorney Rivetti acknowledged the work of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in the investigation that led to Williams’ prosecution. “Acting United States Attorney Rivetti commended the Federal Bureau of Investigation for the investigation leading to the successful prosecution of Williams.”
This case is part of an Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Forces (OCDETF) investigation. The OCDETF program targets high-level drug traffickers, money launderers, gangs, and transnational criminal organizations using a coordinated approach involving multiple agencies at federal, state, and local levels.
