Greater Pocono Chamber of Commerce recently issued the following announcement.

PLOT (Pocono Leaders of Tomorrow) Committee Meeting

This committee is for emerging and established young professionals. The goals are to focus on professionalism, leadership, and community service to cultivate and promote career growth and to provide a professional arena for ages 21-40. The committee will plan networking opportunities as well as community projects that solve a problem/issue. Are you a young professional looking for a way to get involved in the business community?  This is the committee for you! Help us plan fun and innovative events for the young and young at heart professional!

Additionally, the PLOT committee plans and hosts the annual Pickle Me Poconos Festival on Crystal Street in East Stroudsburg, PA. Pickle Me Poconos occurs annually in the Fall and celebrates all things Pickles! In 2019, there were approximately 3,000 people in attendance, over 50 vendors, and over 25 sponsors! Butler County Community College receives $347,834 grant for dual-credit program expansion

Butler County Community College has been awarded nearly $348,000 through a state grant aimed at expanding dual-credit opportunities for local high school students. Rep. Marci Mustello said these funds will help prepare young people for college while easing financial pressures on families.
