Rep. Brendan Boyle, who represents Pennsylvania’s 2nd district in the U.S. Congress, addressed topics including American history and drug pricing policy in a series of tweets posted on January 22, 2026.

In one post, Boyle stated, “Censoring America’s history of slavery is a betrayal of our nation’s principles. Living up to the ideals America was founded on demands being honest about our history — the good and the bad. Boyle also commented on Medicare’s ability to negotiate drug costs following recent legislative changes. He wrote, “Medicare can negotiate drug costs because Democrats delivered the Inflation Reduction Act, which passed without a single Republican vote. Republicans’ whole playbook is to say one thing, then turn around and do whatever Big Pharma tells them to. Trump is no different. https://t.co/FsOR2jQIoE” (January 22, 2026).

Brendan Boyle has served as a member of Congress since 2015 after succeeding Allyson Schwartz and previously represented his constituents in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977, Boyle continues to reside there and holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Notre Dame.
