Rep. Brendan Boyle, a U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district since 2015, posted a series of statements on January 27, 2026, addressing Holocaust Remembrance Day and calling for changes to Department of Homeland Security (DHS) funding.

In a post marking the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz, Boyle stated: “Holocaust Remembrance Day is on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz and calls us to solemnly reflect on the unimaginable horrors of the Holocaust. We will forever honor the memory of the millions of innocent lives lost and oppose hatred and bigotry in all its forms.” (January 27, 2026)

Later that day, Boyle shared a link to his full statement: “Read my full statement here: https://t.co/N1hgnRYEPa” (January 27, 2026).

In another post made at the same time, Boyle criticized DHS operations and urged legislative action: “The Department of Homeland Security is supposed to keep Americans safe. Instead, Americans are being executed in the streets. We’re calling on Senators Fetterman and McCormick to vote against any DHS funding until there are meaningful reforms and real accountability.” (January 27, 2026)

Brendan Boyle has represented Pennsylvania’s 2nd District in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015. Before his tenure in Congress, he served in the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 to 2015. Born in Philadelphia in 1977 and currently residing there, Boyle holds a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Notre Dame.
