Rep. Brendan Boyle, U.S. Congressman representing Pennsylvania’s 2nd district and Lead Democrat on the House Budget Committee, shared a series of posts on social media addressing policy priorities, congressional oversight, and local events.
On December 1, 2025, Boyle posted: “As your Congressman — and as the Lead Democrat on @HouseBudgetDems — I’m proud to lead these fights every day to keep the main thing the main thing: ensuring families in Philly and across Pennsylvania can afford what they need and get the health care they deserve.”
Continuing his focus on fiscal oversight, Boyle addressed the absence of a key official from a House committee hearing in another post dated December 2, 2025: “It’s December, and @RussVought47 is still too scared to face the House Budget Committee. Too scared to defend policies that raise costs and weaken the labor market. Every OMB Director for 50 years has been willing to testify. He’s not special. He should show up.”
In response to news impacting Philadelphia’s first responders, Boyle expressed condolences on December 2, 2025: “Officer Andy Chan’s passing is heartbreaking news for Philadelphia. We owe an enduring debt to the first responders — and the families — who risk everything to keep our communities safe. My prayers are with his wife, his children, and all who loved him.”
Boyle has served in Congress since replacing Allyson Schwartz in 2015 as representative of Pennsylvania’s 2nd district. Prior to this role he was a member of the Pennsylvania House of Representatives from 2009 until his election to Congress. Born in Philadelphia in 1977, Boyle continues to reside there while serving constituents locally and nationally.
